You are a Star child

I’ve been watching many fascinating documentaries from dinosaurs to space flights, from squids to King Akhenaton.

This time, I would like to highlight the documentary How the Universe Works.

This documentary is narrated by a few Astronomers and Physicists (as well as the Theoretical Physicists Michio Kaku), who explain the main properties of the universe, from the Big Bang to the fate of the whole universe and our Earth. 

Manet's eye for color

Eduard Manet (1832-1883) was a French painter who greatly influenced the Impressionists by using rich colors to make astounding affect in his art.
The Impressionists were a group of artists that were interested in the Realist’s point of view on art so they started working with Gustave Courbet and his fellow Realists.
Later, in the 1850’s, those artists campaigned against the influence of academic art since academic art used historic, religious and mythological themes.

The Impressionists were also very influenced by Japanese woodblock prints that just then reached the West. They liked the bright colors used by the Japanese and the casual behavior of the figures in the artworks.
They were also very influenced by early photography. It showed exactly the way that animals and humans walked.
But, the Impressionists did celebrate modern Parisian life. They painted chores, landscape and everyday life. Adding shades and sparkles from light were important touches to their artwork since they usually preferred working outside.

My Ideas: S.A.H.R. (Self Automated Humanoid Robot)

My favorite idea is a self-automated robot, which I called S.A.H.R. It stands for Self Automated Humanoid Robot.
It will be 4”11 in height and made 25% glass and 75% aluminum. There will be solar panels on the top of it’s head.
Connected to the solar panels will be wires that will split and lead to the hands and the legs.
At night, two perpendicular lights will glow blue from the energy of the solar Panel. If there is a full moon, a Lunar Panel will appear.

The idea was that the robot will help completing jobs that will be too difficult and/or dangerous for humans to do, such as mining, oil drilling and other industrial jobs.
S.A.H.R the robot could also be a playmate for children who have no brother or sister.

About Robots and Cockroaches

Over the summer, I have been reading The Physics of the Future by Michio Kaku. One of the subjects in the book is about the intelligence of robots. Especially, Asimo, created by Honda and named after Isaac Asimov.

Asimo is the most intelligent robot today. It can dance, walk, run, see, touch and understand human expressions.

Actually, Asimo has the intelligence of a Cockroach. Another robot (just recently sent to Mars) is Curiosity. It is the heaviest, yet smartest, Mars rover ever sent to Mars. It’s mission is to find traces of life on the Red Planet.

Some robots lurk in everyday life. Vacuums, printers and cashiers are a few of them.

In the future, cars will be completely automated so human driving will be needed.

We will be able to see any place on earth just by looking out our home window and robots will be an integrated part of our lives.
